BBC Countryfile Live is a consumer-facing event that brings the iconic television show to life.
Organiser SME London was tasked with delivering the programme’s first-ever live instalment, which aims to provide exhibitors with the chance to showcase their products and services to fans of the show, as well as those who play in the agricultural sector, in a unique and memorable setting.
SME London wanted to ensure that BBC Countryfile Live was organised so that attendees could easily navigate their way around the space, and it was equally important that each and every exhibitor have extensive facetime with their target audiences. It was also vital that the event be laid out in a way that would take full advantage of the unique Blenheim Palace venue and its sweeping surrounds.
Using our ShowFloorplans product, we designed an event floor plan with a series of distinct zones. With ShowVision, we created 3D visuals for the organiser to use for sales and marketing purposes, and the floor plan was also put into ShowHub, so that the organiser could manage it themselves. Event floor plan data was pushed to our online exhibitor manual tool, Exhibition Architect in real-time, which guaranteed a seamless experience for the exhibitor, and eliminated the potential for human error.
ShowFloorplans and Exhibition Architect provide us with an integrated floorplan and online exhibitor manual solution. The results have changed the way we work and improved our internal processes significantly. It has cut down the amount of manual data collection and management, automating many of these manual processes we previously had to undertake.
The improvements haven’t only been on an organiser level, our exhibitors instantly gain access to their exhibitorprofile and can start managing their stand as soon as theybook, streamlining and simplifying their obligations.
SME London was incredibly pleased with the integrated solution that Freeman provided, noting “the company’s ability to make optimal use of this complex outdoor venue [Blenheim Palace] has positively impacted the visual aspect of our show.” The inaugural event welcomed 125,808 people and secured over 750 exhibitors, and the re-book rate was recorded at 40% before the show had ended. This highlights just how effective the integrated solution was for the organiser, exhibitors and attendees.
I can very happily say that from my side, there is certainly no negative feedback on this [EA] manual. Kate was ahuge help whenever I had any queries or needed any assistance when creating the manual.
The team did a great job, especially when it came to getting any amendments made as soon as possible.
