Freeman showcased its extensive service offering at International Confex in March 2016, the UK’s leading exhibition for event organisers across the globe.
Event organisers, Mash Media wanted to partner with a creative, strategic events and exhibitions company whose on-site teams could produce Confex in line with a tight deadline, while also assisting exhibitors with their queries wherever needed.
As the general contractor for the show, Freeman provided various core services to exhibitors. Freeman also worked with Mash Media to create bespoke feature areas for the event, including a VIP lounge, DMC lounge and entrance area for the PA Show.
Confex was a great success, with more than 7,500 MICE professionals visiting event venue Olympia London over the two days. Additionally, 43 of the UK’s top 50 agencies attended, and the show’s average dwell time was recorded at five hours and 15 minutes.

Event registration, website and staffing provider, LiveBuzz wanted to make its presence known at Confex, and so selected Freeman to design and build a premium, branded exhibition space. The design brief included areas for networking as well as innovative ways of displaying the company’s range of products.
Freeman’s creative and fabrication teams worked alongside LiveBuzz to create a stand combining high spec materials together with innovative structural engineering. The spacious stand included a feature and product showcase to display the company's full suite of products, along with projection video mapping technology.
LiveBuzz was pleased with the service Freeman provided pre-event and on-site, and the stand was effectively designed in line with the company’s event objectives.

Freeman’s own stand was created with three goals in mind: it needed to stand out, provide a layout that was engaging and welcoming, and provide attendees with the chance to speak about their exhibition challenges with members of the team.
Freeman’s stand was modelled on the modern sports bar, and featured multiple networking spaces, premium quality graphics and a spinning Rubik’s Cube. Attendees were invited to tweet the company with an #AskFreeman challenge, and a client solutionist would respond.
Freeman enjoyed great success at the show. Its own branded stand was constantly bustling with people eager to learn about the company's offering, and the speaker sessions delivered by members of the FreemanXP team were well received.

It’s great to have all of our customers, suppliers and partners under one roof for two days. It’s important for us to come back together and celebrate our accomplishments, but also find new ways in which we can engage in the business in a very collective and collaborative way, and Confex allows for that.
